Advent GIVING | The Kingdom Yet to Come
The Advent Season is about remembering the first coming of Christ (the word advent itself means “coming”). It’s a time when we respond to and celebrate the salvation that came through Jesus’ life. But it’s also about looking forward to the second coming of Christ, when he will return and make the kingdom of God fully manifest.
We celebrate in this tension, waiting with hope and expectation between the two Advents. Christ inaugurated the kingdom when he first came to earth. And while we await his return, we work and pray toward manifesting the kingdom of God now as it is in heaven.
That’s what this giving campaign is all about - using these funds to bring the kingdom of God to the world.
100% of the funds raised during Advent will be used EXTERNAL to Waypoint Church.
