Kids belong at Waypoint.
Children are part of our life together. They can worship with you, learn in an age-appropriate setting, and begin to know the people of the church.
At a glance: Nursery for ages 0–4 throughout worship. Kids’ Church for ages 4–7 on most Sundays. Children are always welcome in the service.
Known, loved, and learning to follow Jesus.
We want children to hear the good news of God’s grace, ask honest questions, and grow in faith alongside their families and church community.
Sunday options
What happens for kids?
You can choose what works best for your child. Our volunteers will help you find your way when you arrive.
Ages 0–4 · all service
Nursery
A caring space for babies and young children during the entire worship service. Bible story time is part of Nursery. If your older child would be more comfortable there because of developmental needs, talk with our team.
Ages 4–7 · most Sundays
Kids’ Church
Children begin in worship with their families. After a short children’s sermon partway through the service, your children are invited to join our kids teaching team in the kids room to participate in an interactive Bible lesson (we are currently using the Biggest Story curriculum).
Ages 7-12
Kids’ Sunday school
In the spring and fall, we offer Kids’ Sunday School from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. (currently going through the New City Catechism), before worship. You’ll find the classroom in the back, past the kids’ check-in station. Snacks are provided for the kids, and parents can spend time with others while class is underway.
And of course, kids are always welcome to stay all morning in the service with the adults!

We want children to be safe, welcomed by name, and genuinely cared for. Our check-in and pick-up process helps us care for each child responsibly.
Safety
Children are supervised by trained and background checked volunteers. And we have a robust child protection policy

What to do when you arrive
Your first Sunday with kids.
No need to have everything worked out ahead of time. Come a little early, and we’ll help you take it from there.

Say hello at the welcome area. As you enter the school, head straight back toward the lobby hallway. You’ll find us at the kids check in station.

Check out the kids space. A volunteer will help you find the right place and explain our child check-in and pick-up tags.

Ask Questions. We’d love to answer any questions you have about our kids ministry. We take your child’s safety seriously.
